The Rappe family arrived in Mörkaskog in Småland at the end of the 1600s. 300 years later, Adolf-Fredrik Rappe wanted to produce a wooden floor that was dimensionally stable but still retained the feeling of solid wood. His idea was a success. Rappgo's wide and soulful multilayer planks are now sold all over the world.

DIMENSIONALLY STABLE WOODEN FLOORING

The secret behind the stability of Rappgo's wooden flooring is the construction of the planks. Rappgo's planks are constructed in layers that are glued at an angle to each other. This guarantees dimensional stability and minimises gaps in the joints, year after year. A solid wooden floor can never offer the same benefits. A solid wooden floor will shrink and expand, while a multilayer floor remains stable.

• Rappgo was founded in 1967 by Adolf-Fredrik Rappe.

• Rappgo was first in the world to produce a one-layer board in a lamella construction. Previously, this had only been available as a three-layer construction.
